A school in west Belfast was damaged in a suspected arson attack last night.

Fire fighters were called to the blaze at a canteen block at Corpus Christi College on the Ard Na Va Road around 8pm.

The building is not connected to the rest of the school so the fire was contained.

Police said they are treating the incident as suspicious and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
