A Skibbereen based trawler the Inane, which developed mechanical trouble 17 miles south of Baltimore yesterday evening, was later towed safely into port by Baltimore life boat.
The 48 foot vessel issued a Mayday call at 7.45 p.m. which was picked up by Valentia radio in Co Kerry. Another trawler gave assistance while the lifeboat was on its way to the area.
