Five people have been killed and 13 injured when their bus collided with a train in central Russia.

Five people have been killed and 13 injured when their bus collided with a train in central Russia.

The crash occurred about 31 miles south of Yoshkar-Ola, the capital of the Mari-El region, the emergency ministry said.

A bus carrying 30 people from a state farm ran into a train travelling from Yoshkar-Ola to Kazan.

According to a preliminary investigation, the bus driver was at fault for the crash, said one report.
