The key to eating cheaply and healthily is to buy most of your food at the beginning of the week. Never go shopping when you are hungry. This will only result in impulse buying. Do not let your stomach rule your head, or pocket.

Bring in your own lunch. Make your own sandwiches, refill a water bottle, and bring in some fruit.

A day's study might bring cravings for chocolate, but remember that most fruits are also high on sugar and a healthy substitute. Keep plenty of pasta and rice in your cupboards. These are filling and high in carbohydrates. Guaranteed to fill a stomach before a big night out.
