A former Army private has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting an eight year old boy and an 11 year old girl in October and November 1994.
Garda Anne Byrne of Drogheda told Dundalk Circuit Court that the accused called voluntarily to the Garda station on March 18th last year, and is attending a psychiatrist. He is married with two children.
Judge Patrick Smith remanded him in custody for sentencing on January 19th.
