Four injured in Belfast stabbings

A policeman was among four people who were stabbed during a series of attacks in west Belfast last night.

A policeman was among four people who were stabbed during a series of attacks in west Belfast last night.

Two other men and a woman were also attacked in the incidents, which took place at about 10pm on Waterford Street.

A man has been arrested in connection with the stabbings.

During the incidents, two men and a woman both received stab wounds to their necks with the men both being taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A policeman was also stabbed in the left arm during the incidents.

The PSNI has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
