Three adults and a child were rescued from a blazing motorcruiser on a popular Northern Ireland waterway last night.
The coastguard received a call at about 8.20pm informing them of the fire aboard a boat in Upper Lough Erne in Co Fermanagh.
The inshore lifeboat and a fire crew from Lisnaskea were sent to Carrybridge, and those on the motorcruiser were taken safely to shore. None were injured.
A Coastguard spokesman said: "The occupants were quite shaken and ready to abandon the vessel because of the fire They were all wearing their life jackets and were in mobile phone contact with the police and ourselves.
"In fact we were alerted to the incident by the Police Service of Northern Ireland in Enniskillen. The fire crew got on board the boat and extinguished the blaze."
