Paris - French authorities have ordered the withdrawal of goats' cheese, sold as Puy du Fou, Saint-Maure Monoprix Gourmet and Sainte Maure Puy du Fou and made in the Vendee region, after health checks showed signs of listeria contamination.

A veterinarian inspection revealed the presence of the listeria monocytogenes bacteria in a batch of goats cheese made by the Loic Chupin company, a joint statement by the ministries for agriculture, health, and small and medium-sized companies said.
