Lisbon - Guinea Bissau's fugitive General Ansumane Mane has been shot dead in a gun fight with government troops in the north of Guinea Bissau, Portuguese television channel RTP reported last night.
It showed pictures of what it said was Gen Mane's body, on which several bullet wounds could be seen, particularly on the neck.
