Paul Galvin will have some involvement in next weekend's All-Ireland final against Tyrone, according to manager Pat O'Shea. The Kingdom captain has not played in over three months after being banned for slapping the notebook from the hand of referee Paddy Russell in the Munster semi-final on being given his marching orders.
Galvin returned to training with the Kerry squad last Monday and the Finuge attacker will play "some part" next Sunday, though he is unlikely to start having not seen competitive actions since the Munster semi-final in May.
"He is going to play some part on the day itself," the Kerry boss told the Sunday World. "It is great for him, he has worked very hard on his own and he is in good form - that's the most important thing."
O'Shea also allayed fears over the fitness of Kieran Donaghy who was taken off during the semi-final win over Cork after injuring his knee.
"His knee is a bit sore, but it won't keep him out of the match," O'Shea insisted.
