A man has died in a road accident in Galway this morning.
The 36-year-old victim died when the car he was drivinghit a wall at Derrydonnell, in Oranmore.
Two passengers were taken to hospital in Galway.
It brings to six the number of people killed in road accidents so far this weekend.Four people were killed following accidents in counties Cork and Tipperary.
Two people were killed and one person seriously injured in a two-car collision in Monard, on the main Limerick to Tipperary Road. Country Tipperary, at half past seven yesterday evening.
A passenger in one of the cars was taken to St Joseph's Hospital in Clonmel.
Meanwhile, in county Cork two people died and one person is in a critical condition after three separate accidents yesterday.
The man who died is believed to be from Macroom.
In Mallow a 25 year old woman was killed yesterday afternoon in an accident involving three cars, at Parkadallane.
In a further accident yesterday afternoon, the co-driver of a car taking part in a rally in Cork was seriously injured when the car crashed. The driver escaped serious injury.
