Gardaí are investigating the discovery of the decomposing body of a man found in an outbuilding in Dublin city centre this afternoon.

The body was discovered by staff of a nearby building society off Grafton Street at 3 p.m.

A Garda spokeswoman told ireland.comthe body appeared to have been there for some time and preliminary examinations were being carried out.

The deputy State pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has visited the scene and post-mortem results on the body will be available tomorrow.
