GARDA investigations into the murder of a Malaysian woman, Ms Mandy Wong, and the deaths of two men who died as a result of beatings are continuing.

The Garda Press Office said yesterday detectives in Trim, Co Meath, are treating as suspicious the death of a 34 year old local man. Mr Michael O'Brien suffered a head injury in a fight in the town on May 31st. He was treated in hospital for three days and returned home. However, last weekend he began complaining of head pains and was readmitted to hospital, where he died last Sunday.

Gardai are still investigating the death of a Dublin man, Mr William Cahill (28), who died after a fight in the Liberties area on Wednesday. Meanwhile, arrangements are being made to interview some people who were known to Ms Wong (28), strangled in the bathroom of a rented house in Walkinstown on Tuesday.
