Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for information following a serious assault on Georges Quay in the city early last Sunday morning.

At about 2.45am, a woman in her 20s sustained serious facial injuries during a disturbance involving a number of women outside a pub near Tara Street train station.

Gardaí have issued descriptions of two women they wish to speak to regarding the incident. The first woman is described as approximately 5 feet 3 inches in height, of slim build, with long black hair, wearing a white tee-shirt and black jeans. She was accompanied by a woman who is described as slightly taller and heavier in build with hair tied up in a bun. She was wearing a black cardigan and a purple top. Both women left the scene on foot.

Anyone who witnessed the disturbance or any taxi driver may have picked up two women in the Georges Quay/Burgh Quay area matching the above description to contact them.
