Gardaí investigate Finglas pub shooting

Gardaí are continuing to investigate a shooting in which a man was wounded in a Dublin pub overnight.

According to gardaí, two men wearing balaclavas entered the Cappagh House shortly after midnight last night and shot a man.

The victim (24) was taken to Blanchardstown hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. No one else was injured in the premises.

The two attackers escaped toward Barry Green.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination. Gardaí from Finglas carried out follow-up searches on two houses in the Finglas area, and a firearm was recovered.

Detectives appealed for anyone who was in the pub at the time or who may have information that would help their investigation to get in contact.
