Gardai in north Louth have appealed for the public's assistance in locating an elderly man who has not been seen since Sunday afternoon. Mr Patrick McMahon, aged 69, was a patient in a nursing home in Carlingford but left the premises at around 2 p.m. on Sunday and has not been seen since.
Gardai are concerned because he suffers from senile dementia and is not able to look after himself. They want anyone who may have seen him or given him a lift to contact them.
Mr McMahon is tall and thin, balding with grey hair, and slightly stooped. He was wearing black and blue tracksuit bottoms and black jumper.
