Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run that killed a Co Wicklow man at the weekend.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run that killed a Co Wicklow man at the weekend.

The body of Darren Quinn (27) from Ashford, Co Wicklow, was found at the side of road in Arklow shortly after midnight on Saturday morning on the main Dublin to Arklow road.

The victim is believed to have suffered severe head injuries.

Gardaí at the Arklow Station are asking anyone who may have been travelling on the N11 north of Jack Whites Cross, in the Ballynapark area of Arklow between 11.30 p.m. on the 11th and 12.30 a.m. on the 12th to come forward.
