Gardaí seize drugs 'worth €1.4m'

Gardaí today made a drugs seizure worth an estimated €1.44 million in Dundalk, Co Louth.

Gardaí today made a drugs seizure worth an estimated €1.44 million in Dundalk, Co Louth.

Following an ongoing Garda operation, a van was stopped at Martin's Cross, Dundalk, this afternoon.

During a search of the vehicle, gardaí found 240kg of cannabis resin. It has been sent for technical examination.

A man in his 30s was arrested and is being held at Dundalk Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984
