A 13-year-old girl was killed this morning after she was knocked down while crossing the road in Co Limerick.
The incident happened shortly before 8am when she was struck by a car at Carrigmartin in Ballyneety. She was brought to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Gardai at Roxboro are appealing for witnesses, and the road has been closed.
