A nine-year-old girl emerged unhurt after the car she was in was hijacked and reversed into a wall in south Belfast.
The incident happened at around 5.30pm yesterday evening outside a fast food chain on the Lisburn Road.
The child’s 25-year-old brother was punched in the face and forced out of the car by three men in their late teens wearing hooded tops and with their faces covered by scarves.
The men reversed into a wall before driving towards Shaftesbury Square in the city with no lights on.
The girl was then forced out of the car and made her way back to the fast food outlet. She was unharmed.
The car, a silver Volkswagen golf, was later found burnt out in Albert Street in west Belfast.
