A toddler has been injured in a sectarian attack on a house in East Belfast.

A toddler has been injured in a sectarian attack on a house in East Belfast.

The girl received a cut to her forearm from broken glass during the incident in Derwent Street last night.

A large group of unknown men attacked the house with hammers. The child was in the house with a man.

A PSNI spokesman said: “At this time police are treating the incident as sectarian.”

They appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
