London - A 13-year-old British girl who was paid by the Catholic Church to turn down an abortion and have her baby has been ordered by a court to give the child up for adoption.
Exeter High Court ruled that the girl - who was 12 when she became pregnant - must relinquish custody of the baby, born in January. The court heard the girl had a reading age of six.
