CUTTACK - Today a man will walk into a bank in Cuttack, India, and ask to make the strangest withdrawal in the country's history - the last remaining ashes of Mahatma Gandhi. Mr Tushar Gandhi (35), the great grandson of the "father of the nation", does not know how he will react after the end of a two year battle to take possession of the ashes.

He plans to take the ashes on a short tour around India before scattering them in the Ganges in the northern city of Allahabad on January 30th.
