A gunman escapedwith an undisclosed amount of cash after holding up bank staff in Limerick this afternoon.

A gunman escapedwith an undisclosed amount of cash after holding up bank staff in Limerick this afternoon.

The manrobbed the Upper William Street Branch of the Trustee Savings Bank at 2.45 p.m.

He ordered a member of staff to fill a bag with cash afterthreatening them with a gun and then escaped on foot.

Gardaí are continuing their search for the man.
