Gunmen fired on a minibus carrying policemen in the Iraqi town of Baquba northeast of Baghdad today, killing 12 and wounding two, according to a source at Baquba 's main hospital.
Earlier, Baquba police chief Waleed al-Azawi told Reuters eight policemen had been killed in the attack in the town, which lies 65 km north of the capital.
Guerrillas have repeatedly attacked Iraqi police and security forces since Saddam Hussein was toppled last year.
