Health jobs:The National Maternity Hospital at Holles Street in Dublin has an urgent vacancy for a staff nurse in colposcopy services. This is a part-time, fixed-term contract for six months, working six to eight hours per week. Gynaecological experience is desirable.

The Bon Secours Health System in Dublin has an opening for a CNMII in infection control (full-time). The Glasnevin-based hospital is also seeking a senior medical scientist in histopathology and a basic medical scientist in histopathology.

Beaumont Hospital has a range of jobs open, including a clinical nurse specialist role (breast care) and a nurse specialist in dermatology (CNMII). The hospital is also seeking a principal biochemist (therapeutic drug monitoring and toxicology), a chief medical scientist in chemical pathology and two phlebotomists (staff nurse, 20 hours per week). Other posts available at Beaumont include two registrar positions in emergency medicine.

St Patrick's Hospital, Dublin 8 has an opening for a consultant psychiatrist in general adult psychiatry.

St John's Hospital in Limerick is currently looking for a locum consultant radiologist for an initial period of six months. A CNMI post is also available for the general wards (permanent, part-time).

Also in Limerick, the Milford Care Centre is seeking a deputy director of nursing services. The centre also has openings for a senior physiotherapist (maternity leave cover), care assistants and registered general nurses (care of the older person).

Leopardstown Park Hospital in south County Dublin has five staff nurse posts available. The hospital is also looking for carers (two posts in the Clevis welfare home), an occupational therapist (job sharing, six-month contract) and a senior speech and language therapist (part-time).

The National Cancer Screening Service (NCSS), which encompasses BreastCheck and the first phase of the Irish Cervical Screening Programme, is recruiting a deputy cervical screening manager. This post is located in Limerick and the salary scale is €65,919-€80,787.

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) is seeking a regulatory toxicologist (grade II, human health), an occupational hygienist (grade II, policy) and a regulatory toxicologist (grade III, human health).

A purchasing and procurement officer (clerical grade VII) is also sought by the NCSS. Based in Dublin, the position carries a salary scale of €47,606-€56,121.

The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) is seeking applications for its basic surgical training programme, starting on July 1st, 2008.
