Kiev - Eight Ukrainian servicemen were killed yesterday when their Soviet-made Mig-8 helicopter went down in southern Ukraine. The crash occurred in the Kherson region, some 360 miles south of the capital, Kiev. The aircraft was being tested for readiness for a paratroopers' exercise. No civilian casualties were reported, and other helicopters were grounded pending an inquiry.
