Fianna Fail has called for victims of the hepatitis C scandal to be given the report from the tribunal which inquired into the matter as a priority
The Minister for Health, Mr Noonan, is due to receive the report shortly. He plans to present the report to the Government and to arrange for its publication and presentation to both Houses of the Oireachtas at the earliest possible date.
The Fianna Fail spokesman on health, Mr Brian Cowen, said he was "most surprised" that the Minister "did not even mention the victims" when he was asked this week how he intended to proceed once he received the report. Mr Cowen asked whether the Minister's attitude to the victims had changed "even at this late stage."
