Officials at Hereford have cancelled plans for an inspection ahead of today's meeting and racing goes ahead as planned.

Although temperatures fell below freezing overnight, clerk of the course Gemma Charrington reports the track to be in good shape.

"We got down to minus three but no frost has penetrated the ground and racing goes ahead," she said.

"We have got some fog at the moment but it has been foggy here at this time of the morning for the last couple of days and it has lifted as the day's gone on."

The going is officially described as soft, good to soft in places.
