Nearly 380 kilograms of heroin worth an estimated Aus $100 million (around €58 million) has been seized in Australia.

The heroin was seized in Brisbane from a container of rice noodles taken off a ship that had travelled from China.

Three men in their 30s were arrested after the heroin was found concealed among the packaged noodles at Fisherman Islands Wharf in Brisbane.

"Although final purity and weight is yet to be confirmed, the seizure could represent up to two million hits of heroin that have been prevented from reaching the streets in Australia," said Mr Chris Ellison, the federal justice and customs minister.
