1. Never leave your drink unattended. If you do, don't finish it.

2. If in a group of trusted friends, nominate someone to watch the drinks.

3. Never accept a drink from a stranger.

4. If an acquaintance buys you a drink, try to ensure only the bar staff touch it before you drink it.

5. Try to drink from a bottle or a can as they are much harder to spike than an open glass.

6. Look out for your friends and be aware if they begin to act strangely.

7. Be aware that non-alcoholic drinks can also be spiked.

8. These drugs are tasteless and odourless; the blue dye now added to Rohypnol does not show up in red wine, cola or other dark drinks and beverages.
