A High Court appeal against a Circuit Court decision in a dispute over the formation of a Co Kildare hurling club was yesterday set for hearing on October 13th.

The case had been heard by Judge Dominic Lynch in Athy Circuit Court last November.hurling club was invalid.

He also declared as invalid and null and void, a county board decision to accept the amalgamated club and the county board's decision to reject the new St Farnan's club, composed largely of ex-Corra Choill club members opposing the amalgamation. The case was taken by ex-Corra Choill members against certain members of the new club and the GAA authorities.

Fixing the appeal hearing for October 13th, Mr Justice Quirke yesterday apologised to some people in court for the case. He said a number of appeals had been listed for yesterday.
