Settlement negotiations are taking place in the legal dispute between the director of the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Mr Declan McGonagle, and the museum's board, the High Court was told yesterday.
Mr McGonagle (48), who has been a director of the IMMA since it opened in 1991, claims his legal rights were infringed by a decision to advertise the post of director. It is alleged the chairwoman of the board, Ms Marie Donnelly, told him the post was being redefined and would be publicly advertised.
