Cricket: Phil Simmons cannot wait for his Ireland team to tackle West Indies in the forthcoming one-day quadrangular series.
The former Windies international will also coach Ireland's national side in next month's clashes against Holland and Scotland.
Simmons said: "It's obviously extra special for me coming up against my old team. I'd expect us to be competitive against the West Indies, and continue our excellent track record against them in Ireland.
"The games with Scotland and the Netherlands will also be important as we look to establish ourselves as the leading Associate nation in World cricket."
The Windies will be based in Dublin, taking on Holland on July 10th, Scotland on July 12th, and Ireland on July 14th, all at Clontarf.
The other games will all take place at Civil Service Cricket
Ground at Stormont in Belfast , with Ireland playing Holland on
July 11th, Scotland playing Holland on July 13th, and Ireland
hosting Scotland in the final game of the competition on
July 15th.
