Services on the Luas red line have been curtailed this morning following a crash involving a car and a tram near Smithfield.

There is no service from Blackhorse to either The Point or Connolly stops with trams only operating between Tallaght and Saggart and Blackhorse.

Emergency services are at the scene of the crash and the outbound tram lane is blocked.

In a statement, Luas Customer Care said tickets were valid on Dublin Bus while the service was interrupted.
