Tributes have been paid to a Galway man who died in an accident on his farm on Wednesday.
The man has been named locally as Michael McGrath (59), a taxi driver and part-time farmer from Crumlin, Ballyglunin, Co Galway.
Mr McGrath, who had a keen interest in music, is believed to have fallen through a perspex roof while carrying out repairs on his farm.
His body was discovered on Thursday and the area was sealed off for a Garda investigation.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA)has been notified and will be conducting inquries as it is a workplace incident.
The HSA confirmed that this was the sixteenth farm fatality this year.
The fatality rate in agriculture is far higher than in any other economic sector, the authority has said.
