Two men have died in suspected workplace-related incidents on both sides of the Border.

Gardaí confirmed the body of a man in his 50s has been discovered in Co Cavan.

The man’s death is thought to have been due to a farming incident. His body was discovered at Drumeague in Baileboro yesterday afternoon.

It is understood the man's body was taken from a slurry pit on the farm. The Health and Safety Authority is investigating.

Meanwhile, a man has died in a workplace-related incident at a garage in Co Fermanagh today.

It is understood the 51-year-old was struck by a moving vehicle on the premises on Main Street, Lisnaskea.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the fatality. Officials from the Health and Safety Executive have been alerted.
