Boxing:Three more Irish boxers are on their way to Beijing this Summer after qualifing for the 2008 Olympics in Athens, Greece earlier today.

Irish captain Ken Egan, John Joe Joyce and Darren Sutherland, all overcame their respective opponents in the semi-finals at the final Olympic qualifiers for Europeans.

Joyce, who progressed to the semis aftera thrilling quarter-final win over Greek light welterweight Gkevorgk Gkalstian earlier in the week, beat his opponent, Sipahi Harun, by a margin of 27-12.

Later on in the day, St Saviours Dublin middleweight, Darren Sutherland, overcame Moldova's Victor Cotiujanschii, who retired after just three rounds.

Elsewhere, Egan beat Gottlieb Weiss of Germany 21-11 to book his place on the plane to Beijing.

Overall, Ireland will have five fighters taking place in Beijing with Paddy Barnes and John Joe Nevin also in the team.
