An Irishman in his twenties drowned while on holiday in Australia last weekend.

An Irishman in his twenties drowned while on holiday in Australia last weekend.

Brian Foley (21), from Liscannor Co Clare drowned in the Burren Junction Bore Baths in New South Wales last Saturday. He had been out with friends.

Mr Foley was on a year-long visit to Australia. A Department of Foreign Affairs spokesperson said the issue was being dealt with by the Irish Consulate in Australia.

She was unable to say when Mr Foley's remains would be returned to Ireland.
