Former Republic of Ireland star Denis Irwin is close to agreeing a new deal with Wolves, manager Dave Jones said today.
Irwin (37) reported for training today but Paul Ince, his former team-mate at Manchester United, is not due back until the end of the week.
Both players helped the club secure promotion to the Premiership last season but deferred decisions on their future until after the holiday period.
Jones said: "It was a matter of them deciding whether they could go for another season and they think they can.

"Now it's a matter of the detail of the contracts. We hope to be able to announce something soon."
Wolves today signed Nigeria international defender Isaac Okoronkwo.
