It takes Tango to make two

Having a baby is not an end but a beginning, as teenagers - Crystal and Tango discover. when Baby D arrives

Having a baby is not an end but a beginning, as teenagers - Crystal and Tango discover. when Baby D arrives. Things don't work out, but whose fault is it? In this cleverly constructed novel Crystal gets to tell her version of events, but is constantly undermined by the narrator, Chris, a friend of Tango's who reckons the story is being airbrushed to make Crystal look good. Waddell seems to have a direct line into teenage language and preoccupations, and the image of the distracted Tango forlornly clutching the baby he eventually felt forced to snatch is unforgettable.
