Police have arrested another jockey today as part of their investigations into allegations of race-fixing.
The jockey was arrested in Cumbria on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud, a statement from the City of London Police confirmed.
The man is currently in custody and is being questioned by officers from the City of London Police.
Last Monday, 27 people, including former champion jockey Kieren Fallon, had their bail extended until July 3rd as the police continue their investigation.
Fallon had been due to answer bail this month along with weighing room colleagues Robert Winston, Fergal Lynch, Darren Williams and Paul Bradley.
Trainers Alan Berry and Karl Burke were also due to reappear but they will not have to answer bail until later in the year.
"We are very disappointed that another jockey has been brought into this inquiry," said Jockeys' Association chief executive John Blake.
"We are no further on in terms of knowing the case and the evidence against our members - as well as the other people that have been arrested.
"We are a bit confused that police need more time to consider their case in July but have made another arrest in the interim. This might suggest the inquiry is very much ongoing."
The police investigation - codenamed Operation Crypton - is Britain's largest ever horse racing corruption investigation and has been hanging over the sport for two years.
The inquiry has been looking at more than 80 races and more than 130 officers have worked on the case. At least 19 addresses have been raided. The police swoops followed irregular betting on the internet exchange Betfair.
Betfair passed records from its sophisticated tracking of betting patterns to the Jockey Club which in turn called in the City of London Police, who have the country's largest financial fraud investigation team.
