The unbeaten colt, who was officially rated Europe's top two-year-old of 2001, will reappear in the Gladness Stakes at the Curragh on April 7th. Last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner will then return to America for the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on May 4th.

"He'll run in the Gladness in April then go straight to the Kentucky Derby," co-owner Michael Tabor told the Thoroughbred Times.

Johannesburg won all his seven starts last year, including Group One races in Ireland, France and Britain.
