Athens - Police in northern Greece are investigating whether the hanging death of a British actor playing Judas in a Greek hotel's production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar was an accident or suicide.
Mr Anthony Bruce Wheeler (26) strangled before hundreds of guests. More than 600 people watched as his body dangled from a prop rope during the Sunday night show at the Sani Beach Hotel on the Chalkidiki peninsula.
The hotel manager, Mr Dimitris Hatziyannakis, said the actor had performed in the same show for three years and was experienced with the hanging props. - (Reuter)
