Italian champions Juventus have turned down a bid from Chelsea for their Dutch midfielder Edgar Davids.
"I can confirm that we have turned down an offer from Chelsea," Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi said. "Davids is part of this club's project for the future."
Davids was a key figure in the Juve side that retained the Italian title last season and reached the final of the Champions League.
Chelsea have been linked with moves for some of the biggest names in European soccer since Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich took over at the club last week.
