PHILADELPHIA - The third game in a six game chess match between world champion Garry Kasparov and an IBM super computer called Deep Blue ended in a draw yesterday.

The draw was agreed after 39 moves in a rook and pawn end game in which neither the Russian grand master nor the computer could gain an advantage. The match now stands at 11/2 points each. The fourth game at the Convention Centre in Philadelphia is scheduled for today.
