Former Limerick manager Liam Kearns is the new football boss in Laois. He replaces Mick O'Dwyer who stepped down earlier this month after four years in charge.
Kearns has revitalised Limerick football in recent years and steered the county to two Munster finals in 2003 and 2004.
He was favourite to land the Laois job after O'Dwyer opted not to stay on.
Kearns has yet to confirm his backroom team but is believed to be consulting the county board with a view to announcing his selectors in the coming weeks.
