Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Alan Kelly is expected to sign for Tottenham today for £600,000 sterling.
Following talks with the north London club last week, Kelly, 33 next month, has agreed personal terms.
The Irish international joined Blackburn from Sheffield United in August 1999 in a deal worth£675,000 when Tim Flowers left Ewood Park for Leicester.
He said: "It was widely known that John Filan or I would be going. Spurs are a big team and it appeals. I would be an idiot not to listen and discuss with them what they plan for me."
Kelly started last season as Blackburn's number one keeper, but was replaced by Aussie Filan and fell further behind with the arrival of Brad Friedel.
Meanwhile, Blackburn have confirmed an interest in Liverpool's French left-back, Djimi Traore.
Manager Graeme Souness is seeking to bolster his left flank and has targeted Traore. Blackburn chief executive John Williams said: "We have had some discussions with Liverpool but there is nothing to report at this stage."
