A similarity in life style between the labour figure, "Big Jim" Larkin, and the Mayor of Limerick, Mr Jim Kemmy, was suggested yesterday by Mr Jim Larkin, jnr, as the main reason for choosing Limerick for the southern launching of his biography of his grandfather.
Mr Larkin, a retired trade union official, said Mr Kemmy, who vacates office on Monday, had a life long career working for the poor and trade unionism and, like his grandfather, also had a love for literature and history.
