Republic of Ireland international Jeff Kenna has been told he can leave Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer.

Republic of Ireland international Jeff Kenna has been told he can leave Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer.

Kenna is Rovers' last playing link with the Premiership-winning side of 1994-95.

The Dubliner joined Rovers from Southampton in March 1995 and has made 166 league appearances.

Meanwhile Blackburn striker Nathan Blake is expected to join Wolverhampton Wanderers this week.

The two clubs have agreed a fee believed to be in the region of Stg£1.5million, and Blake is set to have imminent talks with Molineux boss Dave Jones.
